“Meshal Haqadmoni” (משל הקדמוני), which translates to “The Ancient Fable” or “Fable of the Ancients”, is a Hebrew book of fables written by Isaac ibn Sahula in the 13th century (circa 1281) in Spain. It is considered one of the earliest known examples of Hebrew prose literature that blends allegorical storytelling with philosophical and ethical teachings.
